Happy #InternationalWomensDay to all the incredible, brave, intelligent, strong women out there! Today is all about #GIRLPOWER , and celebrating both the amazing women in our own lives as well as those in the limelight.

In celebration of this special day, we've rounded up just a few of our fave fierce females. These women are continuously making waves, fighting for equality, inspiring us and showing the world that women are pretty amazing in every way!

Ariana Grande

You cannot go anywhere without hearing or seeing this woman's name at the moment. Ariana has without a doubt took the world by storm, and there's no signs of her slowing down any time soon. Aside from being an incredibly talented pop star, Ariana has also shown the world how strong and resilient women can be in the face of fear, confusion and hatred following the Manchester attack in 2017. Ariana, you really are a force to be reckoned with.

Lady Gaga

The incredible Queen of Pop was once told by an ex-boyfriend that she'd never succeed, never win a Grammy, never have a hit song and he hoped she'd fail, to which she replied 'someday, when we're not together, you won't be able to order a cup of coffee at the deli without hearing or seeing me'.

Lady Gaga has just became the first woman in HISTORY to win an Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and BAFTA in the same year. There's just no words for this level of success and empowerment. Gaga, we applaud you.

Emma Watson

We can't go through International Women's Day without mentioning this beautiful, intelligent female role model. Emma Watson has used her platform to speak out against the gender pay-gap, workplace misogyny and has often explained how women should be able to wear and do what they want and still gain the same respect as their male counterparts. Every generation needs an Emma Watson- and we feel super-lucky that we have her!

Megan Markle

An actual real-life princess who is anything but a damsel in distress. Since the incredible Megan Markle joined the Royal Family, she has spoken up about how she believes that women should use their voice to make a positive change in the world. With the whole world watching her every move, it's so important that she's representing women to be compassionate, strong, proud and empowered.

Winne Harlow

Winnie who was diagnosed with the skin condition vitiligo aged four, once said: "I don't find my beauty in the opinions of others. I'm beautiful because I know it." In the wake of Instagram selfies and "perfect" bikini bodies, Winnie stood up and told the world that you should celebrate your unique beauty- a message which resonates and inspires us all. What an amazing lady!

Beautiful dancer Sophirelee was involved in a traumatic fire dancing accident and left scarred for life- however this has quite rightly not stopped her from posting fierce pics on her Instagram account and being involved in incredible modelling shoots. Sophie encourages Instagram to 'look beneath the filters' and is on a mission to eliminate girl hate. She has a very important, resonating story to tell and we truly believe that in the age of social media 'ideals' , telling young girls that 'Instagram is full of a lot of beautiful lies' is something that we all need to shout about more.

Camilla Thurlow

Camilla became the nation’s sweetheart during the summer of 2017 when she appeared on ITV's Love Island. After exiting the villa, Camilla used her Love Island fame to spread a message of kindness and compassion by involving herself in continuous charity and volunteer work. Camilla undoubtably is an incredible role model, and has been lauded a 'young Princess Diana'. We absolutely love her!
