Whilst at the Clothes Show Live we decided to take advantage of the huge choice of brands on show and find some of the more obscure brands you don’t always see on the high street, to find some special and unique party frocks that would look amazing with a Sunkissed fake tan.

We were definitely not disappointed…

First up on the list is the Ibiza Maxi; a halterneck, Hi-Lo Print dress from Bohemia Boutique in Hull. This dress looks fantastic with a tan; the halterneck is great for revealing a bronzed back and arms and if you are a little conscious about your legs then this is the dress for you, the low hem at the back provides a little cover whilst you can reveal your gorgeous tanned pins at the front.

The cinched waist teemed with the brown leather belt flatters your waistline, and the colourful prints really enhance your tan.

Next up…as they say on ‘This Morning’ is the cream, mirror embellished Baby Doll dress from Boutikee in London.

I found this dress on a tiny stand in the Style Zone, if you blinked you could have walked right past it…but I’m glad I didn’t blink because they had some beautiful dresses on display. I selected the baby doll in cream which can be unforgiving on pale skin but stunning with a deep bronzed tan.

This dress is great if you have a busty figure and it will also really show off your legs, which will look extra long in a pair this year’s big footwear trend - platforms.

We move onto Goldie London who had a stand jam packed with wonderful clothes suitable for day and night. I picked out this LBD which is bang on trend with its black lace. The short length, high waist and thin straps are flattering on all shapes and would ensure you stand out from the crowd whatever parties you are attending this year. Pair it with a lovely tan and the attention will be all yours!

Finally we have Polka Dot Cat, probably the most exclusive brand we discovered, as we were informed that only one piece of each garment is made in only one size…which could be quite frustrating if the dress you find doesn’t actually fit you!

Although, we were also told that where possible they will respond to requests if you see a Polka Dot Cat creation that you like they will do their best to make a similar garment just for you.

I picked out two outfits: a fun, bright pink bow dress...if you take a peak below, you’ll notice it makes you grin like a Cheshire cat! This dress has a lot of personality and is really easy to wear; the sleeveless dress and short length combined with the hot pink colour make it the perfect dress to set off a beautiful tan. 

The second dress I chose is a red and black lace Audrey dress; beautifully tailored it felt like this dress was made for me. I liked the way it fitted down to the waist, with the fuller skirt. Whilst this dress felt more modest in style the hot red joined with the sexy black lace still made it feel like a great party dress and it met all our criteria for enhancing your tan…with your arms and legs of show.
